Robber Foils His Own Robbery By Spraying Himself With Pepper-Spray

In Beaver, West Virginia, Michael Kevin Meadows, 43, was arrested for attempted robbery. The ironic twist was that he foiled his own robbery by pepper-spraying himself.

On Tuesday, he put on a paintball mask and clothed himself in full camouflage before entering a pharmacy. According to security footage, Meadows wildly sprayed copious amounts of pepper-spray throughout the pharmacy to incapacitate the employees. But unfortunately, Meadows was too liberal with his weapon: he walked into a cloud of the spray, and his paintball mask did nothing to protect him.

He stumbled out of the building and got into a vehicle, a 2005 GMC Denali. After reviewing the footage, police realized another person was driving. They managed to identify the driver, who quickly revealed Meadows’s identity.

Meadows is currently in Southern Regional Jail, with his bail set at $100,000. For some reason, however, the driver was not charged with any offense, and the police have not revealed why.
