Police Officer Found Guilty Of Smuggling Cheese

Niagara Region Police Constable Scott Heron has recently been found guilty for numerous criminal charges of smuggling cheese and chicken wings across the border of the United States and into Canada. The man is facing the smuggling charges, plus conspiracy to smuggle.

Heron, who is charged with six counts in total, three of which are within the Customs Act, and three are a breach of trust charges, thanks to his status as a police officer in the Niagara region. Justice James Ramsay made his decision today, and Heron will return to court this November for his sentencing.

Surprisingly, Canada actually has access to both types of food, so this smuggling was probably an incredibly stupid thing for the constable to do.
