Former Kidnap Victim Gives Birth To Baby Girl
According to recent news reports, kidnap victim Elizabeth Smart’s father has announced that the now 27 year old has given birth to a baby girl.
As you may remember, Smart was kidnapped from her bedroom in 2002, at knife point, when she was only 14 years old. She spent 9 months being raped and brainwashed by a religious fanatic, and his wife, before she finally made it back home. Brian David Mitchell, her abductor, is now serving a life sentence in prison.
Since then, Smart has published a book about the ordeal she went through. She has also done work as a motivational speaker. It’s likely you’ve even seen a TV movie (The Elizabeth Smart Story) based on her story.
Although she gave birth earlier this year, to a girl, she and her husband have kept it out of the media. However, her father recently reported the news to the press. He reports that both baby and mom are doing fine.
