Florida Couple Eats Wedding Cake Every Year For 60 Years

A Florida couple who celebrated their 60th marriage anniversary last week have disclosed a secret to keeping their marriage from getting boring – eating cake.

Ken and Ann Fredericks of Florida, celebrate their marriage anniversary by eating a little bit of their wedding cake each year. The cake was made by Ann’s grandmother, particularly for their wedding ceremony on August 19th, 1955. The Florida couple said that the wedding cake has never spoiled, and just requires a drop of brandy ever so frequently to keep it moist.

According to the couple, their secret to storing the wedding cake is put into a tin and placed in a closet. Ken Fredericks, a former music teacher, and Ann Fredericks, a former nursing supervisor, met while attending New York’s Syracuse University. Both Ken and Ann are originally from New York; however, they have made Florida home since 1968. The story has become a viral hit; however, the pair admits that they do not see what all the commotion is about.
