Toddler Locks Mother’s iPhone for 48 Years!

A two-year-old child in Shanghai, China, has locked his mother’s iPhone for 48 years after she left him to watch educational videos on her smartphone. iPhones have a security feature in place, wherein individuals entering the wrong passcode while attempting to unlock the phone will result in the phone being disabled, with the duration of the disable dependent on the number of attempts made.

The mother, Ms Lu, posted on an online forum, Mumsnet, explaining her problem, and that her phone was locked for a staggering 25 million minutes! So far Ms Lu has waited for more than two months to see if the issue will rectify itself, however the phone is still locked. She is not considering resetting the phone, which could resolve the issue, as she fears that she could lose her contacts, photographs, and other personal files.
