Hideki Tojo was a general in the Imperial Japanese Army, but he was hungering for authority that he also assumed the position of Foreign Minister, Commerce Minister, Home Minister, Army Minister, Education Minister and Prime Minister. He also created ties with Nazi in the hope that he would have power along with Hitler. He was charge of attacking several countries in Asia. He was responsible for five million deaths during the war.
After the war, Hideki Tojo was arrested and executed for war crimes. He was hanged on December 23rd, 1948.
Mengistu Haile Mariam
Mengistu Haile Mariam was the prominent politician that led Ethiopia from 1974 to 1991. He was also the colonel of the Derg, communist militia.
Mariam had initiated the Red Terror campaign. The Red Terror campaign was described as the worst mass murder ever in Africa. The estimated number of deaths for which he was responsible ranged from 500,000 to 2,000,000.
After the civil war, the court found Mariam guilty of genocide, however, he had fled to Zimbabwe.
