Star Wars: The Force Awakens Gets A Second Trailer, And It’s Amazing

The second teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens has been released, and it’s already taking social media by storm. Where the previous trailer left fans somewhat disappointed, this new teaser is being applauded and well received.

Two pivotal characters are in the trailer. Luke Skywalker provides a voice-over, which is the speech he gave to Leia in Return of the Jedi. Han Solo and Chewie also make a cameo appearance at the end. The trailer, though, mostly focuses on introducing several new characters: Rey, a scavenger; Finn, a jaded stormtrooper; Poe Dameron, a hot-shot X-Wing pilot; Kylo Ren, a sith villain; BB-8, a new droid; and an impressive stormtrooper dressed in chrome.

Along with the new characters, the trailer has several intoxicating shots: the wreckage of a death star half buried in sand, the crumbled ruins of Darth Vadar’s mask, Anakin’s lightsaber being handed between two people, and of course, the Millennium Falcon.

There’s a lot to see in this trailer, but one thing is certain: “Chewie, we’re home…”
