Senior Citizen Punches A Bear In Face To Save His Dog

A 73 year-old Placer County senior citizen and his canine came face-to-face with a bear right outside of his home — he didn’t run from it, call 911 or call wildlife officials, instead, he gave punched the bear in the face! Carl Moore, who is an ex-first recon Marine, is not a guy who scares easily. He’s a skinny but fearless character who’s had more than one run in with trouble.

Recently, Lacy, Carl’s dog who he loves like a daughter, started whimpering outside his door. Carl ran out, saw a bear and started growling viciously and loudly, with the bear looking confused. What happened next can only be described as crazy — Carl landed a punch right in the bear’s face!

I ain’t run from nothing; I never have in my whole life and I ain’t going to start now,” he said. “And you’re not going to sacrifice my babies for some damn bear.” The bear is long gone and likely in no rush for another fight with the crazy old Foothills man. But if he does return, you know Carl will be ready and waiting to protect his beloved canine.
