New Super Condom Designed To Feel And Look Like Human Flesh

Ever wonder what would happen if Bill Gates put up a huge cash prize for the next generation of condoms? Now we know. Australian scientists based out of the University of Wollongong, Sydney, responded to a call by the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation to create a more effective and advanced condom in order to promote global health via greater STI prevention. The team, led by Robert Gorkin, created a next generation condom that doesn’t even feel like a condom at all. The reason for this is that it is made from hydrogel, not latex as traditional condoms are. The best part? It feels like actual human flesh – not rubber.

These next generation hydrogel condoms don’t only feel real, but have numerous other benefits as well. Apparently the next gen condoms can be engineered to self-lubricate, deliver drugs (like Viagra for those that need a little assistance), and are environmentally friendly due to their biodegradable structure.

Intrigued? Don’t go rushing to the super market about “condoms that feel like skin” just yet. The condoms are still in the testing phase and will need to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that they possess all these benefits in order to receive the next round of funding from the Gates Foundation.
