Homophobic Pastor Resigns After Being Caught On Gay Dating App

An anti-gay pastor from Michigan resigned from St. John’s Lutheran Church and School after being caught on the gay and bicurious dating app, Grindr. Entertainment website Queerty received pictures from an anonymous source showing Reverend Matthew Makela posing with his shirt off and chatting with other guys on the service. He admitted that he loved “making out naked, oral and massage,” and “he “also love[s] to cuddle“.

He enjoyed spending time with gay men, despite publicly being completely against them. According to the source, Makela posted on Facebook saying “the transgender movement is going to assist opportunistic sickos in preying upon children and others.

Even worse, Reverend Daniel Kempin who also works under the church posted a long letter on the church’s website. He officially announced Makela’s resignation and encouraged his congregation to not fall to the “sins” that Makela ultimately succumbed to. He added: “Be very careful, then, how you live, not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity because the days are evil.
