Chinese ‘City Of Sex’ Where Men Have Three Girlfriends
China still has a one child policy, and there is currently a massive gender imbalance. However, the city of Dongguan is a bit of an exception. There are so many women in the city that most men have two or even three girlfriends at a time.
Dongguan, located in south China’s Guangdong Province, is known for their production of electronics, including iPhones and iPads. Local manufacturers running assembly plants prefer to hire women, as they tend to be more reliable.
Many men within the city have admitted to two or three permanent girlfriends at any one time. One man, speaking to a local television station, said, “It’s a lot easier to find a girlfriend than a job.” Another man, Li Bin, said: “I have three girlfriends, and all of them know about each other. Many of my friends also have many girlfriends. Why not have more than one if we can? Look, everyone is here to have fun; if you don’t do it, others will.”
The tourist industry may see quite the boom within the area soon enough.
