Check Out Banksy’s Creepy Amusement Park, ‘Dismaland’

Welcome to ‘Dismaland’ — a creepy anti-‘Disneyland’ version created by famous graffiti artist Banksy. The satirical take on the famous children’s amusement park featured grumpy guards, creepy games and art by some of today’s famous artists: Banksy, Damien Hirst, Jenny Hozler, just to name a few.

According to NY Times, the mock amusement park had more than 2,000 visitors last Sunday afternoon. The queues started picking up just a few hours after the park’s opening. Shortly after the official web site was put up, the ticketing page crashed after receiving an astounding 6,000,000 hits in a minute.

The exhibit was successfully kept a secret until the very end. British news and media spotted the construction of the park, and were all surprised on Thursday morning, when the park was officially announced on Twitter and a featured on the local newspaper’s front page. The park runs until late September and is located in Weston-super-Mare, England, UK.
