British Gas Sends Rape Victim’s New Address To Her Attacker And He Attacks Her Again

British Gas has apologized for mistakenly sending a gas bill containing a rape victim’s new address to her former home where her attacker still lives. The perpetrator used the information to find his ex-partner, and then showed up at her new home and beat her viciously.

The woman claimed that the man abused her for 28 years. She left him in October after accusing him of rape, and rented a new flat where she hoped to start a new life with her 12-year-old daughter. The victim reported that when the man found her at her new location, he punched and kicked her repeatedly and said that he’d kill her if she reported him to the police.

She did report the attack, and said, “Luckily I wasn’t seriously injured but I’ve had to move again.” The Essex police are taking it all very seriously and are investigating her allegations. A British Gas spokesman said that the company is doing everything they can to help the woman.
