Aurora, Illinois Now Has A Drunk List To Fight Public Intoxication

The Aurora, Illinois, police department have put a ‘drunk’ list in place to help fight public intoxication. This list will have the names of drunk people that the police have picked up and either took to jail or home at least 6 times within 120 days. Those on this habitual drunkard list will not be allowed to buy liquor at local businesses. These businesses are expected to comply with this list and not sell liquor to the people on it.

According to reports, the Aurora city council has approved the list as part of the city liquor laws. The police say their goal is to keep the public safe by doing this. They got the idea from the city of Madison, Wisconsin who has something similar in place.
